Form2Content LITE
Form2Content LITE is a Joomla! content creation kit. It enables you to submit articles to Joomla using a custom form with as many fields as you like and a template for the article layout. In essence the normal Joomla article content is split into a submission form and an article template. When a form is saved the content is pasted into the template and the generated HTML is inserted into the Joomla! database.
For display and navigation of the articles generated through Form2Content the normal Joomla menu structure is used. This makes Form2Content 100% compatible with all third party modules and components related to content articles.
Front-end article manager
Form2Content has its own front-end article manager. In the configuration you can set whether (registered)users can only edit/create their own articles or all the articles.
F2C XML Feeds and Search Components
Form2Content LITE works with both our commercial extensions F2C XML Feeds and F2C Search Component & Module. Please note that for the search component at present you can only search the Single Select field type. In Form2Content Pro multi-select and checkbox field types are added.

Form2Content KML Feeds
Link your articles using Google Maps
The potential of Google Maps for web designers goes far beyond the simple display of your office location on the contact page of your website. Many 3rd party Joomla Plugins and Modules already give you the ability to show Google Maps with placemarkers. Now you can use Google Maps for navigation through displaying multiple placemarkers, one for every article!
Using Form2Content (LITE and PRO) you can get latitude and longitude information (per F2C Article using simply tw text fields). Now all you need is the F2C KML Feeds component to generate a KML file and Google API code or a 3rd party Plugin to render the placemarkers on a map. Since F2C KML Feeds generates a (KML) Feed the placemarkers are updated automatically.
F2C KML Feeds features
- Placemarker template: Select the information from your F2C submisison form that you want to show in the placemarker description.
- Use patTemplating for your placemarker template
- Create filters to select the articles you want to be included in the feed
- Create multiple feeds for your different F2C Content Types
- Add custom placemarkers to the feed
- No CRON job required to process and update the KML feed!
Form2Content, a Joomla CCK
![]()
Form2Content PRO is an easy to use and powerful Joomla extension. It combines the simplicity of forms with the creativity of templates for Joomla content. To make the combination even more flexible the templates are build using patTemplates. This allows for dynamic layout similar to the Joomla Templates. These functions together make Form2Content a so called CCK (Content Creation Kit).
Form2Content XML Feeds
The Form2Content XML Feeds component allows the creation of XML feeds of your Form2Content Articles. Create product feeds or content feeds and distribute them to your websites or affiliates. The included link will refer back to the article on your website or optionally redirect to another URL.
- Create affiliate accounts
- Generate product/content feed(s) per affiliate
- Insert as many F2C form fields as you like in the feeds
- Create (multiple) filters for your XML feeds
- Referral to your article or another URL
- Keep statistics of the number of clicks per article per day
Form2Content Search Component
The Form2Content Search Component and Module allows you to create Search Modules within Joomla! which are linked to your F2C Content Types. The search fields are linked to the form fields of your article submission and thus return exact results according to the criteria entered. Using AJAX, the number of search results are updated automatically when selections are made. The F2C Search component is used to configure your different search modules. The F2C Search Module is used to display the Search within your template.
- Specify which fields you would like to be able to search*.
- Create different search modules for different content types.
- Have different module layouts according to number of columns set.
- Display the number of search results before actually showing the results.
- Category blog layout of search results
- Extra text parameters for your module
- Information buttons next to the search fields
- Item ID parameter for search results
How it works
- Unzip the downloaded file and install the F2C Search Component and Module through the Joomla! installer.

- Select the Form2Content Content Type the search is linked to
- Add the text parameters which will be displayed in the module
- Select the custom fields from the Content Type you which to include in the search.
