The F2C Search Module
Each F2C Search Module is linked to a predefined search. It will display the search fields, pre and post text, captions, info buttons in one or more columns depending on the confguration.
Setting/using the Item ID
In order to add some creativity and flexibility to the Search Results page we have added the Item ID parameter in the F2C Search module configuration. An easy way to link other modules to the Search Results page is to create a Hidden Menu* with a link (to anything, it doesn't matter as it won't be shown). Set this Item ID in your F2C Search Module and if you want the module to be shown on your Search Results page also make sure it is linked to the Hidden Menu link.
Next you can add any module to the Hidden Menu link. These modules (and all that are always shown) will be displayed on your search results page.
* A Hidden Menu is a normal Joomla! Menu for which the corresponding Menu Module isn't published. Creating a Hidden Menu with links allows you to create Item IDs to which you can link modules.
sh404sef and F2C Search Module
Currently the F2C Search module is not compatible with sh404SEF. When sh404sef is configured to skip the component it doesn't do so. We hope to contact the developers soon and come with a solution.
F2C Search Component and Module is compatible with the Joomla! build in SEF option!
